Responsibilities: 

  • Carrying out all aspects of garden landscaping work, including excavations, paving, walling, turf, artificial grass, fencing, decking, carpentry work, steps, block-paving and installing water-features.

  • Supporting your Landscape Foreman by mixing cement and other aggregates transporting materials and listening to instructions.

  • Competently using landscaping machinery.

Requirements:

  • PREFERRED to have at least 1 years landscaping experience

  • Must ave a strong understanding of the health and safety processes in the workplace

  • Must be polite, reliable, hard-working, professional and honest.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both with colleagues and management, as well as with customers and suppliers.

  • Must have a full, clean drivers licence and your own transport (we are not based close to public transport links).

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: from £19,000 per year (depending on experience)

Landscape Foreman

We are a vibrant, growing landscape design and build company based in Surrey. We take immense pride in our skills and workmanship, working with some fantastic designers and architects to create our customer's dream gardens.

We are looking for a new Landscape Team Leader to help us continue to grow, and to lead our teams to build some exceptional gardens around Surrey and Hampshire.

We have recently been featured on Gardeners World, after our show garden at BBC Gardeners World Live won a Gold medal, best Show Garden and People's Choice award. We are excited about our future, but want to grow and develop our company with people who are passionate about landscaping and want to truly create some beautiful spaces.

Responsibilities: 

  • Leading a team of landscapers to carry out projects from start to completion.

  • Working from technical scale-drawn designs and plans from our garden designers.

  • Accurately calculating volumes and quantities of materials required on-site, managing budgets, measuring accurately.

  • Carrying out all aspects of garden landscaping work, including excavations, paving, walling, turf, artificial grass, fencing, decking, carpentry work, steps, block-paving and installing water-features.

  • Competently using landscaping machinery as well as using a 1.5 tonne digger.

  • Liaising with management and garden designers, as well as directly with customers.

  • Training new staff members as and when needed.

  • Liaising with suppliers and other trades to coordinate deliveries and services.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years landscaping experience

  • Experience leading or training other staff members in a landscaping environment

  • A strong understanding of the health and safety processes in the workplace

  • Polite, reliable, approachable, professional and honest.

  • Excellent communication skills, both with colleagues and management, as well as with customers and suppliers.
